John McMullen is an award-winning writer who has covered major league sports for over a
decade, McMullen is currently a national correspondent for RealGM and Football.com. John
spent seven years on the beat of the Minnesota Vikings for Twin Cities Sports Wire and The
Football Network and has been a featured columnist for Lindys Sports, Minnesota Sports Update, Pro Football Digest, Only College Football, Saddo Boxing and The Cox Newspaper Group. His weekly sports column was syndicated for three years through Valeo Intellectual
Property and he has been a featured guest on over 30 radio outlets including The Team
(ESPN 990 in Montreal), The Bear ESPN 660 in Minneapolis), The Maverick in Mankato, MN,
WNTP in Philadelphia, the Bet US Radio Network and Sporting News Radio's NFL Draft
coverage. He currently hosts "Johns on Sports" on WTBQ in New York with John Gottlieb and
his latest book Purple Pride: The 50 Greatest Minnesota Vikings is scheduled to be released
in the summer of 2007. |

Young, creative and the hopeless sports romantic in a group of talented cynics, Jared Trexler has dabbled in various writing fields, from sports to marketing and technical writing. He
was a 2005 graduate with honors from Penn State University’s School of Sports Journalism before interning under the voice of the Nittany Lions, Steve Jones. Trexler has also served as
the lead college basketball columnist for a Philadelphia-based sports wire service and keeps
sharp as a freelance journalist. Jared was a semifinalist for the prestiguous 2005 National
Hearst Award.

A Philadelphia native with more than six years in the industry, Tim McManus has
served as a sports journalist for both The Intelligencer and The Reporter newspapers, while
also writing for several regional and national magazines. An award-winning journalist, McManus also hosts "This Week in Pro
Football" on 990AM WNTP in Philadelphia, and is a producer/update anchor for Philly's Sports Radio 950.

2005 Temple University graduate Michael Rushton comes to The
Phanatic Magazine with collegiate newspaper experience on the news side, as well as sports writing
experience at a local newspaper. Rushton served as both news editor and layout editor of the
award-winning Centurion during his two-year stay at Bucks County Community College. He also
completed an internship with the Bucks County Courier Times' sports section. Currently, Rushton
is a staff writer at a Philadelphia-based sports wire service

Philadelphia born and bred, Steve Lienert brings not just experience in his craft to The
Phanatic Magazine, but an undying passion for city sports. An Eagles season ticket holder, Lienert’s
“Stadium Conditions” Festival is a trademark get together for Eagle fans on the Main Line. Lienert has won multiple print layout awards, serving as a staff writer, copy editor and assistant
sports editor for a suburban Philadelphia newspaper. You can currently read Steve’s work as a
high school football freelancer. |
